Elizabeth Hurley may have it all - undeniable beauty, a handsome husband, and a fantastic career. Still, the leggy lady can add another accolade to the pile - Guinness World Record holder.
TVNZ.com reports that Hurley recently joined forces with cosmetics giant Estee Lauder for to mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The fruits of their labor resulted in 39 global hotspots being bathed in pink lights for a minimum of 10 minutes, winning them the title of Most Illuminated Landmarks for a Cause.
"It's wonderful to see the global impact that these illuminated landmarks have, motivating women to see their doctors regularly, perform a monthly breast self exam, and get an annual mammogram if they're over the age of 40," Hurley said.
Some of the landmarks that took part in the event were the Empire State Building, the Tokyo Tower and the Taj Mahal.
"Our goal is to spread this message to women in all corners of the world," Hurley said.
According to the American Cancer Society, all women over the age of 40 should have a yearly mammogram.
