MyNewPlace launches breast cancer fundraising campaign

The apartment and home rental website MyNewPlace has started a $100,000 fundraising initiative to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

MyNewPlace will donate $10 to the foundation every time a customer prints out a listing of an apartment they're interested in and delivers it to the leasing office at MyNewPlace. Customers are not obliged to sign a lease or make any donation of their own, but taking the extra time to bring the listing into the office will help the foundation's work.

"Breast cancer has affected those closest to the MyNewPlace family and considering nearly 2.5 million or two-thirds of our monthly visitors are women, it was a natural fit for us to make a financial commitment to find a cure for one of today's leading women's health issues," said John Helm, founder and CEO of MyNewPlace.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to finding a cure for breast cancer and providing funding for innovative clinical and translational research worldwide, according to their website.
