Gaddafi further condemned as some of his forces switch sides

The foreign ministers of the European Union have jointly issued a statement condemning the actions of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi, according to Fox News.

Twenty-seven ministers came together in Luxembourg to decide that six ports under Gaddafi's control will now have their assets frozen.

"Time is not on Gaddafi's side," the foreign ministers said, according to Fox. "He has lost all legitimacy to remain in power. The EU is committed to supporting the building of a democratic state."

Meanwhile, there is also report of Gaddafi troops defecting to the rebel side of the National Transitional Council.

"We have now defected from the regime. The Gaddafi regime has lost all credibility. Therefore we declare that we offer our services to the National Transitional Council in Benghazi," Major Lamin Sidi Ibrahim al Tabouwi told Reuters.

The humanitarian condition continues to suffer in the country where Gaddafi refuses to cease his decades-long leadership. The foreign policy chief of the European Eunion, Catherine Ashton, has called for better planning in terms of "money, market access and mobility" for post-war Libya, reports Fox.
